How To Reduce Scar Redness

Scars are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin after wound. After a wound has healed the scar is commonly red. This is usually the most noticeable stage of your scar. Often times it will continue to become more visible for up to 3 months after the injury. You want to reduce the scarring as fast as possible. Here, are some useful tips to reduce scar redness.

1. Massaging the scar with a gentle circular motion will help stimulate the production of collagen, which will help the scar to fully heal and become less red.

2. A scar, because it is already damaged, is more sensitive to the sun and can become sunburned, which will make it even redder. Make sure that you apply sunscreen that is SPF 30 or better whenever possible.

3. Originally used by burn centers and later on cosmetic surgeons and hospitals they are the proven most effective over the counter treatment for red and raised scars.

4. Apply silicone gel. Silicone gel will create a protective layer of silicone over the scar, as well as flatten the scar and reduce its visibility.

5. Hydrate the scar. Internally by drinking enough and externally by using petroleum based emollient.

6. Rub scar treatment cream on the area. Scar treatment creams usually contain natural ingredients such as onion extract to gradually fade scars.

7. Try lemon juice. Lemon juice is a natural bleaching remedy. Its acidity helps to lighten darkened areas of skin.

8. Apply Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera can soften your skin and help it heal faster. Don’t use an Aloe Vera lotion or gel, as the heating and processing will render it useless. Get an Aloe Vera plant and crack open the leaves and apply it directly to the scar.

9. Apply the fruit puree. Massage into the acne-scarred area. The lemon juice has natural bleaching properties to fade the redness while the pineapple has ascorbic acid to brighten skin tone and fade the scarring.

10. Gently rub the baking soda paste into the skin. Continue in circular motions for approximately 60 seconds and then rinse off.

Apply a homemade egg and olive oil conditioner once a week for a month to help repair hair. Apply to hair, especially on the ends. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse before shampooing.

Best Hair Rebounding Method

Rebounding is the process where the hair is straightened using chemicals so that there are no curls. Curly and thick hairs are straightened using a straightening product and hair iron. Effective hair rebounding products prove beneficial as you can take proper care of your hair. The process differs from hair relaxing and other straightening method. Hair rebounding retain the hair’s smoothness and softness for a longer period of time.

1. The time taken to complete a rebounding treatment depends upon the length, type and thickness of your hair.

2. Hair is washed with a shampoo. Hair is dried completely with a blow dryer keeping it on the medium level.

3. Hair is separated into parts. The cream softener or relaxant is applied to every hair shaft, keeping it straight.

4. Cream softener or relaxant is kept on hair for at least half an hour or depending upon the hair type. Keeping it for too long may even harm hair. After that hair is steamed for 10 to 40 minutes.

5. A flat iron is used to straighten hair further and break any remaining curls. The iron should not exceed 180 degrees.

6. Hair is again parted and a neutralizer is applied to set the bonds and stabilize the hair. The neutralizer is kept for at least 30 minutes.

7. The neutralizer is rinsed off with cold water. Hair is blow dried and hair serum is applied. A last touch of ironing is given with the straightening iron. Hair appears silky straight and shiny.

8. If your hair is already thin and damaged don’t go for the rebounding because the effects are irreversible. Also, your hair needs to be oiled frequently. It is also advised to trim it regularly since that would help in hair growth.
