Most people think that natural makeup is not enough for daily wear or parties. I disagree because we are all beautiful in our own way and the goal of your makeup should be to give you cover and enhance your best features. Natural looking makeup is great to wear so you can look flawless and is perfect for every day use.

Use a good quality cleanser that is made for your skin type. Then apply some moisturizer and wait a few minutes for it to set in. You might want to apply some sunscreen too.

The foundation to make sure it’s the right color for your skin. Dab a few marks on your face different ways to see if the color matches. Make sure to go underneath your jaw line otherwise the foundation will show the different colors.

Powder is not a crucial part of natural looking makeup but helpful if you have oily skin or you sweat a lot. Apply five minutes after foundation.

For eye makeup choose lighter colors that blend well with your skin. For well applied eye shadow, the key is good blending. Use the darker color on the bottom and the lighter one on top.

If you use mascara, avoid clumping by using a decluming brush or an eyebrow brush.

Don’t apply too strongly lipstick and shiny lip glosses. Just a light coat should do it. Use a color that’s close to your natural lip color. Lip stain is generally best because it looks natural and lasts all day.

As always, avoid using old makeup – this includes expired expiration dates, smelly products, and clumpy cremes and mascaras.

Remember that makeup is to enhance your natural features, not to cover them up. Most importantly, have fun with your makeup as it should not become a task.

When you go anywhere with a natural makeup, you will be able to bring out your best features and look flawless in just a few minutes. This way you can always feel fresh faced through a little creativity.
